Franklin County 911 Director

This position is located in Benton, IL. Responsible for managing surcharge income received from telephone subscribers, purchasing & maintaining equipment used in the 9-1-1 Dispatch Centers, addressing & mapping of all dwellings in the County. Bachelor’s Degree & related work experience in the area of business management, accounting, information technology, GIS mapping and public administration is preferred.

Because of working involving law enforcement agencies, a security background check must be passed. After a 12-month probationary period, residency must be established in Franklin County within the following 6-months & maintained throughout the term of employment.

Starting salary range is $48,000- $53,000. Benefits include medical insurance, paid sick time, vacation time & holidays. Pension plan is through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund with vesting after 8 years of service.
